- Optimize the contribution of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture to food security
AquaVitae partners will establish a transnational, All Atlantic network to promote and encourage the development of low trophic and IMTA aquaculture
Bringing people together across the Atlantic to develop sustainable low trophic aquaculture.
AquaVitae will create a collaborative effort between project partners, organisations and stakeholders across the Atlantic to provide a focal point to obtain new information and knowledge on sustainable low trophic aquaculture. This will act as a hub of ideas and inspiration for others to get involved in the development of low trophic species and IMTA systems to increase the productivity of aquaculture value chains in a sustainable manner.
This pledge will bring together a minimum of 200 stakeholders in the area of low trophic aquaculture and IMTA across the Atlantic. It will provide a hub for them to exchange information and knowledge in an effort to make a concerted effort to increase sustainable aquaculture. It will culminate in a low trophic and IMTA conference to be held in 2023.
