Coast.SENSE will provide climate and environmental impact added value information to non-experts, for knowledge-based decision making.
Coast.SENSE leverages the state-of-the-art scientific knowledge on remote sensing data processing, and machine learning modelling, to address key environmental and climatic challenges in coastal humanized territories. Its aims: to deploy a user-friendly pilot tool, which will deliver added-value interdisciplinary information on climate change and environmental risks, accessible and comprehensible by the broad community, from citizens to policy makers.
Coast.SENSE expects to deliver a user-friendly tool with multidisciplinary content, covering both atmospheric and marine-related hazards. Key priority is to provide the following high-resolution risk layers: air pollution levels, air temperature/heatwaves exposure, coastal waters quality and wave overtopping.
